Performance optimisation is crucial for providing a smooth checkout experience in WCPOS. This section covers common performance issues and how to resolve them.

Common Performance Issues​

The most common performance complaints relate to:

  • Slow checkout process - The payment modal takes a long time to load or process payments
  • Sluggish interface - The POS interface feels unresponsive
  • Long sync times - Product and order synchronization takes too long. From v1.10.0, start with Store health → Performance — check the measured response times and consider a lighter sync preset if your hosting is struggling
